Sarah Scandrett

SARAH SCANDRETT, from Xalapa, Mexico, began her professional ballet training at the age of 15 at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York. After two years she had the opportunity to train under Edward Ellison at the Ellison Ballet Professional Training Program. During her four years there she performed many challenging pieces, including the wedding pas de deux from The Sleeping Beauty, as well as original choreography of Ave María created on her by Mr. Ellison. She then apprenticed at Alabama Ballet for two years under Tracey Alvey, where she was given the opportunity of dancing the role of Dulcinea in the company’s production of Don Quixote. Since joining First State Ballet Theatre in 2022, Sarah has had the pleasure of dancing a variety of roles, including Queen of the Dryads in Don Quixote, the Dying Swan, Dracula’s Brides, the Prayer Variation in Coppélia and Little Red Riding Hood in The Sleeping Beauty. Sarah is excited for her third season with FSBT.
