Kayla Babicki

Danceworks! Faculty and The School of FSBT at Whitehall Faculty

KAYLA BABICKI began dancing at three years old and joined a pre-professional program at age eight, studying ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and contemporary under the direction of Kristin Davis.

Kayla completed her undergraduate studies at Temple University while working as a freelance dancer and choreographer in Philadelphia. She continues to perform locally in festivals, fundraisers and other community engagements.

Kayla has choreographed for the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, the Ruba Club’s Broadway Cabarets, and more, as well as countless group and solo pieces for competitive studios’ teams. Currently, she primarily teaches intermediate through advanced acrobatics and is focused on strength training and injury prevention for her students; Kayla is also a member of the faculty of FSBT’s Danceworks! outreach program.

Kayla loves teaching the little ones! Her early childhood classes are inspired by the work and philosophies of Anne Green Gilbert and Dr Ross Green. She believes that “kids do well when they can” and strives to teach classes accessible to all learning styles.

Kayla is certified in Acrobatic Arts, Progressing Ballet Technique, and Rhythm Works Integrative Dance. She is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher with additional certification in anatomy and physiology.
