Kate Heulitt
KATE HEULITT was born and raised in Middlesex, New Jersey, and began her training at Central Jersey Dance and Gymnastics. In 2014 she also joined New Jersey Dance Theater Ensemble (NJDTE), where she trained under Nancy Turano. She continued her training at Marymount Manhattan College, where, in 2021, she earned a BFA in Dance. Her professional career has included touring with Connecticut Ballet and Chevalier Ballet, where she danced excerpts from Walpurgis Night, Swan Lake, and La Bayadère. Since joining First State Ballet Theatre, Kate has enjoyed dancing Moyna in Giselle, Dracula’s Bride in Dracula, Coffee in The Nutcracker, Nomad Queen in Don Quixote, and the Enchanted Garden Fairy and Diamond Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty. At FSBT Kate has premiered new contemporary works by Viktor Plotnikov (Fantasy to Dvořák, Unwound, Wings), Zachary Kapeluck (The Breath Between, Sélo), and Maeghan McHale (From Out of the Silence). Kate enjoys performing in FSBT’s Danceworks outreach performances and hopes to continue bringing smiles to people's faces with her dancing. This is her fourth season with First State Ballet Theatre.
