Brian Warkentien

BRIAN WARKENTIEN, originally from San Diego, is an alumni of the San Francisco Ballet School, where he trained for three years under Patrick Armand. While at the school, he danced roles in Helgi Tomasson’s The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker, John Neumeier’s Yondering and George Balanchine’s Stars and Stripes. In 2018, Mr. Warkentien joined Atlanta Ballet 2, where he performed roles in Yuri Possokhov’s The Nutcracker at the Kennedy Center, La Sylphide, Bruce Well’s Beauty and the Beast, and The Swan Princess. In 2021, Mr. Warkentien joined Orlando Ballet, where he performed in Giselle, The Great Gatsby, and The Jungle Book. In 2022 Mr. Warkentien joined Kansas City Ballet, where he performed in Devon Carney’s The Nutcracker at the Kennedy Center, Cinderella, Giselle, and Mark Morris’s Sandpaper Ballet. He is excited to be joining First State Ballet for the 2024-2025 season.
