Molly Rooney

Molly Rooney is originally from Upper Dublin, PA, and began her dance training at Dance Elite in Horsham with Nadia Pavlenko and Maxim Ponomarenko. She attended the full-time program at the Nutmeg Conservatory of the Arts in Torrington, Connecticut during her junior year of high school. She supplemented her training with summer programs on scholarship at the Kirov Ballet Academy, American Ballet Theatre, Orlando Ballet and American Academy of Ballet. Molly attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh on a dance scholarship to pursue a B.A. in both dance and business administration. In 2011, she competed in the first Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition in Boston.Since joining FSBT in 2011, Molly has danced Mercedes in DonQuixote, Myrtha in Giselle, Dew Drop in The Nutcracker, The Lilac Fairy inThe Sleeping Beautyand several other soloist roles.Molly received her B.A. in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania and is also currently the director of the National Ballet Competition located here in Wilmington, Delaware.
